In the mix

I'm here!  Working hard on the V-Day update for the shop, which is terribly late, already.  These darn holidays!  Why are they so close together?  I can't possibly keep up.  And will I spend the slow, summer months preparing for the next holiday rush?  Nope.  I'll probably fritter my days away at the beach or strolling the grounds of Pemberely, I mean, Biltmore.  We got  season passes, hooray!  My sister and I had such fun when we went for the Candlelight Christmas tour.  It was too dark and stormy to get any decent pictures outside (and you aren't allowed to take pics or videos inside the house at all.  Lame.)  But we did force my sister's boyfriend to film us outside of the house, acting like idiots.

If you're not into P&P then you won't really get it, (and even then it's not that funny.) I'm still sorting through the pictures from my sister's visit and I'll be sure to post more soon.  Ohh, like these candies we made!

That's right.  A chocolate candy mold in the shape of vintage buttons, (waiting for the collective "thunk" as you all faint and your heads hit the keyboard.)  I mean, have you ever?  They will be in the shop later this week (and in kit-form, too....a new project I'm really geeking out over.)  I hope they will take the place of a V-Day cupcake kit that just didn't happen this year, not yet anyway.  I just haven't had the cupcake mojo for this holiday.  I will be sending out a newsletter when everything is ready to go, and you can sign up for that here.  If you're interested, that is (and I know you are.  I mean, it's a chocolate mold shaped like vintage buttons. )  When I found this mold I was crazy-excited, and almost kind of sad.  I mean, how long have these been around and I didn't even know?  And what other amazingness is still out there, waiting to be found?  The mind boggles. 

And as if this post couldn't get more arbitrary, I'm trying to post more Wardrobe Remix photos this year.  Not because I'm terrible fashion-forward or anything, but I do like to play dress-up.  Here's what I got so far:

And I'm attempting the 365 thing (one picture for each day of the year.)  But I didn't start until the 3rd, and I can't find the picture that I took for the 4th.  Not the best start so far.  Oh well.  Isn't Flickr just so addicitng?  I could spend all day over there sometimes! 

Sigh.  Now back to work.
