Phase One

2007_061405150045 2007_061405150051 2007_061405150025 2007_061405150046

In which I cut myself some long, in-my-eyes, Frenchie bangs to give my look some "edge".  I'm not sure exactly what "edge" means, but it's very important to Tyra, so I'm doing my best to oblige.  Do I look French yet?  Hmm.  Maybe a little (in a trying-too-hard kinda way.)  I think they need to be a bit longer, but my hair grows super fast, so they should be perfect in a week or two...I'll be completely blinded by them, hooray!  I've had bangs before when my hair was much shorter, and bobbed.  I think I went through the phase that I'm sure many others have, if I cut my hair, maybe I really could look as cute as Audrey in Amelie.  (*No ones is as cute as her, it's pointless to try.  She has perfect knees, too.  My sister pointed it out to me once, and I still can't get over it.  Best knees ever.)  So, my hair is shaping up (sort of) and I'm working on the clothes-bit, doing an overhaul of my pitiful wardrobe.  Since I can't really afford a fabulous shopping spree, I'll be thrifting it up for snazzy new duds.  (I'm still hoping and praying that I'll be cast for the "What Not to Wear" show....that would be really great.)  I have some decent clothes, but many of them need altering, including this stunning red polka dot Italian dress that would really complete my French-inspired, sex-kitten look.  Actually, I'll probably look ridiculous, but it's just so fun!  I really do adore being a girl.  So, please excuse the vain posts for a while.  I'll get it out of my system soon.  My blog really is all lover the place, but that is a fair representation of my myself, and I guess that I can live with that.  I was going to do the "my blog is like a box of chocolates" analogy,  but I think I've put you all through enough for one day.

**Phase Two:  Perfecting my sorry make-up applying skills.

You know I have always loved you with bangs -I think they look great!!!

I agree with the above. You could always cut your hair yourself and it looked so nice! I actually had my hairdresser cut my hair so I could have bangs 2 years ago -inspired by your awesome bangs-with disastrous results (apparently there are those of us that need to "train" our bangs, my dogs are just barely trained so that they can go into public and not wreak total destruction, I am not putting that much effort into my hair!). I have always envied your bangs, they look super! Your hair is great in every state, long, short, bangs or not!

hey Amanda! You are so cute! I knew you would be tho! I cut chunky bangs not too long ago too! But I'm already growing them out again... too much work!
So email me... I'm not ready to ship my softie swap yet :(

love the bangs! they do make you look a little more exotic and sophisticated. add some big sunglasses, ballet flats, a scarf and a vespa and you'll trick everyone.

AND you cut them yourself! you did a great job. and you DO look french! very 60s chic. i am awful with make up. it frustrates me endlessly...endlessly!

"Tonight, tonight, tonight....oh-ooooh". Will you be watching (don't forget!)? Go Natasha!

I think you are beautiful, and the bangs are wonderful!

I like having bangs, but I can't. My darn forehead gets so oily that my hair just ends up looking greasy in the front. Better for me to have it long and out of my face. But bangs look absolutely GREAT on you!

Your bangs look GREAT! This haircut reminds me of when the girl gets the makeover on The Devil Wears Prada. Oh and if you want makeup help, I'm your girl. I can show you a few techniques that will really make a difference.

love the new bangs...and no need for make-up...you have youth, the best make-up ever! xoC

you look darling, and i dare say every bit as cute as amelie!

ciao bella!

You are pretty! Love your bangs! I used to have my hair like yours some time ago! Talking about hair..I have little one on the chair with me, he is pushing me off, but if feels good to have him touching my hair....
Take Care!!!
